Edward Lee Fernandez

Edward Lee Fernandez, age 71, passed away in Billings, Montana on Thursday, December 10, 2020 with his loving girlfriend and her daughter by his side. Ed was born on December 23, 1948 in Basin, Wyoming to Richard and Viola (Ortez) Fernandez. He was the youngest of 12 children and was raised in the Big Horn Basin.

Ed was a private person but was known for his humor and being a hard worker his entire life. Living in Billings, Montana since 1975, Ed worked numerous jobs and lived life his own way.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Richard Fernandez and Viola Ramos, two brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by one son, Richard (Lisa) Fernandez and their children Zoe and Zachary of Worland. His girlfriend of eleven years, Ruby Salono of Billings, her daughter Jessica Mashek of Billings, and her son Jack Horab of Gresham, Oregon. Brothers, Rudy, Bob, and Gilbert (Janet) Fernandez of Worland. Sisters, Gloria Ulman, Isabell Price of Casper, WY, and Helen Smotherman of Bonny Lake, WA.

Cremation has taken place and per Ed’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to various local charities involving cancer research as the donor chooses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.
