Daniel Weber Obituary

Daniel Gene Weber was called home to his Lord and Savior on December 30, 2021. He was born to Louis and Emma Weber on November 9, 1949. A graduate of Worland Senior High School in 1967, Dan was drafted into the Armed Services the following year. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1970 in Vietnam. Exposure to Agent Orange left him with debilitating illnesses the rest of his life. Upon discharge, Dan began farming with his father and two older brothers Dick and Jim forming the corporation Louis Weber & Sons. The brothers retired from farming in 2015.

Growing flowers and vegetables were a favorite pastime. He also loved model trains and built an entire village of trains that went on display in a spare bedroom. He was a passionate animal lover and was known as the "Pied Piper" to his nieces and nephews when they visited the farm with their parents. All would jump into his pickup and follow Dan around the farm helping irrigate. Holidays were spent with his Kister relatives and truly loved sharing meals with them. Dan was a past member of the local Farm Bureau and served as a representative for Washakie County for High Plains Power. Dan was a quiet and humble man who opened his heart to his family and close circle of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, elder sister Eileen (Gene) Walton, Lawrence (Janet) Weber, and Richard (Mary Ann) Weber. He is survived by sister Mary Ellen (Gordon) Threlfall, brother James (Carla) Weber and Christine Weber; both of Worland.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, family friend Stephanie Serna, and an online friend Evan Robinson. A favorite quote regarding farming Dan liked to share was "I started out with nothing and have most of it left."
