John Allen Lamb, 65, passed away with his family at his side on May 17, 2019 in Worland. John was a lover of animals, a professor of hard work, and had quite the encyclopedia of mechanics language. He loved his family unconditionally. He showed grace to all with no hesitation. John started his life in Sheridan, Wyoming on December 10, 1953. His family then moved to Gillette, and Casper during his childhood. He ended up in Worland during late grade school where he lived until his passing. John managed the Redi-Mix in Worland and then transitioned to the oilfields east of town. He had many stories of rescuing animals from the badlands. He loved finding a forever home for them. He had great skill in photographing his surroundings, and it’s wildlife as well. John loved to go fast! Throughout his life he owned numerous classic cars, and motorcycles. He was a man who could forgive almost immediately, as long as his tools were back in the right spot. He worked hard for the things in his life, and instilled that trait in his children. John also passed along his quick wit, and his unrelenting sense of humor. In his final days on this earth, he still cracked jokes to his nurses and the family at his side.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Lamb and his six children Meredith Dobbs, Daniel (Jennifer) Lamb, Patrick (Shaelene) Lamb, Miranda (Colton) Eisele, Nevin Lamb, and Mariah Lamb. He is also survived by six grandchildren, R.J. & Meghan Dobbs, Irelyn & Georgia Lamb, Gabriel Lamb, Luis Deniz and his sisters Janice (Kevin) Schirmer and Joyce Lamb. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jim and Margie Fassler, Steve (Catherine) Strong, John Reed, Chris (Suzanne) Fassler, and Amy (Scott) Evans, and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his twin brother Jimmy Lamb, his father Kenneth Lamb, his mother Alice Hegglund, and his sister-in-law Deborah Reed.
