Edward Deromedi Obituary

Edward Deromedi, age 86, died peacefully in his sleep at home on June 28, 2018 due to declining health.

Edward Henry Deromedi was born, the youngest of 7 children, in Gebo, WY to Joseph and Lena Deromedi on June 22, 1932.

His mother died when he was three years old. At age seven his sister, Elizabeth Kubiak, cared for him at their farm in Winchester, WY. He spent his time helping out on the farm and going to school at the Winchester Country School.

He then went to work for the Hanover Canal Company and Eagle Construction. At times he worked on several ranches helping with lambing.

In 1952 he began working at Holly Sugar during campaign and in 1958 full time. Edward retired in 1986 as a Shift Superintendent.

Edward married Margaret Liebsack on August 12, 1962 in Red Lodge, MT. Edward loved and enjoyed his family, cat “Karmen”, gardening and working with animals.

Edward enjoyed dancing and was a great square dance caller for two clubs, plus guest calling around WY from 1955 through 1968.  Later, Edward and Margaret square danced and polka danced at festivals and belonged to the Big Horn Polka Club in Sheridan. Edward was a thoughtful person and spent time helping others.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Margaret; daughter Evelyn (Rick) Sorenson of Scappoose, OR; sons Gordon (Patty) Deromedi of Worland and Joseph (Kristi) Deromedi of Lander; seven grandchildren Dustin (Crystal) and Timothy (Jamie) Hinkel, Brandon (Catie) Deromedi, Kristen (Nathan) Decker and Ryan Deromedi, Kayla (Cory) Clouser and Kami Deromedi; great grandchildren Amelia, Everett, Nova and Oliver Hinkel, Masen, Sayler and Rylee Decker, Boden and Granett Deromedi, and Kinleigh Clouser.

Edward will be greatly missed and his family honors his life with love and fond memories.  To respect Edward’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date when Edward will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery in Thermopolis.
